I have already shared the recipe of Spring Onion leaves Sambar. Here, I have given below the recipe of Spring Onion leaves poriyal. Its a very simple and delicious poriyal. We can finish this poriyal within 15 minutes but it is so yummy!!!

Ingredients:
Spring Onion Leaves Bunch 4
Salt To taste
Oil 2 teaspoon
Onion 1

For Grinding:

Roasted Gram Dal / Pottukadalai 1 tablespoon
Red Chilli 4
Grated Coconut 2 tablespoon
Cumin Seeds ½ teaspoon

Method:

  1. Wash the spring onions and leaves. Chop the white part of the onions and keep it aside. Chop the leaves in 1 inch length and keep it ready. Chop the onions into bigger cubes.
  2. Take the roasted gram dal, coconut, red chilli and cumin seeds in a mixer and grind it to a powder
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onions and spring onion whites along with a pinch of salt and saute it till they change their color. Then add the chopped spring onion leaves to the pan and stir-fry the leaves for a minutes
  4. Then add the ground spice powder to the pan and give a good mix. Keep the poriyal in medium flame for 3-4 minutes. The spring onions with the spice powder will cook very quickly and it will be ready by now.
  5. Yummy and healthy Spring onion leaves poriyal is now ready. Relish with rice or roti!!!
